The Skid-Mounted Multi-Parameter Metering Device delivers continuous, high-accuracy well production data — oil, water, and gas flow rates — directly at the well pad. Using a Coriolis + electromagnetic hybrid measurement architecture, it replaces the traditional test separator with a compact, transportable skid that requires no radioactive sources, no frequent calibration, and no dedicated operator.

Conventional well testing relies on a test separator — a large pressure vessel that separates oil, water, and gas by gravity, then measures each phase with separate flow meters. This requires significant infrastructure (separator vessel, piping, flare), occupies 50+ m² of pad space, and only tests one well at a time. Mobile well-testing trucks solve the infrastructure problem but introduce long intervals between tests — often 30–60 days — during which production anomalies go undetected.
The Jingtao Skid-Mounted Metering Device uses a fundamentally different approach: the Coriolis mass flow meter directly measures total mass flow and density with ±0.1% accuracy, while a full-bore electromagnetic water-cut meter determines the water fraction without obstructing flow. The two measurements are fused in the onboard controller using PVT fluid models to calculate individual oil, water, and gas flow rates — updated every second.
The critical advantage: no radioactive source (unlike gamma-ray multiphase meters that require Am-241 or Cs-137 sealed sources with 10-year regulatory compliance tracking), no moving parts in the flow path, and the entire system fits on a 2m × 1.5m skid that can be forklifted onto any well pad.
